It is many years since I have been part of a great team (66th Aberdeen Boys' Brigade) and I am glad to see it is still surviving and doing well. I joined the company in 1955 as a boy and through the years worked my way up to be Captain. I was Captain of the 66th for many years and had the privilege of working with hundreds of boys through the years. I saw the boys coming into the company little children and leaving as young adults, most times full of confidence and well being. I also kept in contact with many of them as they furthered their careers. Some professions the boys followed were: - Police, Ambulance, Paratroopers, Tank Regiment, Doctors, Male Nurses, Accountants, Engineers and many more. Now I have found your web site I will regularly check it to see if any of the old boys will respond. I hope Paul Murray the serving Captain will write to me as I would love to talk to him. I would love to hear from anyone else who knows me or served under me. God Bless you all.
Hi folks Great to see messages of support. The session is now up and running and glad to report the numbers are growing week by week.
So far we have:
5 boys in the Company Section 13 boys in the Junior Section 15 boys in the Anchor Boys
It seems there may be more small ones joining so once again the company is going from strength to strength. Even after 125 years the BB still has a place for the young loons of today!

Hi Gary. Aye Cornhill Gardens - those sure were the days! Long summer nights and Head & Seek to Sna ba fights in the winter! See John Hewitt a lot though the first time I spoke to him in a while he didn't recognise me or the name but as soon as I said "Drewy's Sister" it all came back. Nae much o a wee kid now and yeah Dons Daft and not a bad season for them (season ticket in all). After watching you lot playing for BB etc at Sheddocksley is it any wonder I love football now Take it your still managing a Footy Team.
Hi Anne Marie, i'm rather late but nice to hear from you. Yes your dear bro Drew was a great pal of myself, Davie P, Johnny and of course Alex Merchant. I remember we went on a first aid course every Sunday, what a laugh bandaging dummies and giving them the kiss of life!! You were just a wee kid. I hear you're still a Dons Fanatic! Cornhill Gardens - Great Days....
Great to see folks using the website. Yip Gary I remember those days when you were a lad along with David Peters, John Hewitt etc - that was my brother's era and we stayed across the road from you too! Great officers and sad that Sandy Sinclair and Gordon Lennie have since passed away. Company small in numbers but high in enthusiasm with 15 boys in the Anchors and 8 in the Juniors.
